Flora & Fauna


There is a wide variety of wildlife in the region. The dense and verdant surrounding forests are the natural habitat of barking deer (Kakad), black bears, leopards etc. Birds such as the Himalayan Whistling Thrush, Red Billed Blue Magpie, Pheasant Partridge, and many more can be commonly spotted. Trees like oak, silver fir, pine, deodar, and juniper grow here luxuriantly and in abundance. The bright red rhododendrons add immensely to the magnificent views of the spectacular region.

Few hundred trees of various beautiful varieties were planted at Wildflower Hills recently. Some of them include Spruce, Agathis, Chinese Fir, Golden Cypress, Podocarpus, Weeping Willow, Lagestromia, Red Bottle Brush, Chamaecyparis besides Apple & other fruit trees. Also planted were hundreds of attractive bushes like Cherry Flowering, Japanese Quince, Privit White &Yellow, Euonymous White & Yellow, Spirea, Hydrangea, Forsythia etc.
